Why We Must Understand the Biblical End-Time Narrative
In every generation, God has called His people to walk in truth and clarity. But in the generation of the Lord’s return, the need for biblical understanding becomes even more urgent. The Bible presents a clear, prophetic storyline concerning the end of the age—and it's one the Church cannot afford to ignore.
Far too often, the end times are treated as either too controversial to teach or too frightening to face. But God's intention is not to confuse or terrify His people—it is to prepare them in love. The prophetic scriptures are a gift to the Church, designed to anchor us when everything that can be shaken will be shaken. If we fail to understand the end-time narrative, we risk reacting to global events with fear, compromise, or even offense toward God. But if we understand His plan, we will partner with it.
The end-time storyline doesn’t begin with judgment—it begins with love. God is committed to bringing justice to the earth, restoring all things under the leadership of His Son. The biblical narrative includes the Great Commission, the restoration of Israel, a global outpouring of the Holy Spirit, persecution of the saints, and Jesus’ visible return in power and glory.
Passages like Matthew 24, Luke 21, the Book of Revelation, and the writings of the prophets provide a roadmap. They’re not meant to stir anxiety—they’re meant to produce wisdom, prayer, and urgency. In Luke 21:28, Jesus said, “When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.” These words are not just comfort—they’re a call to live awake.
Understanding the biblical end-time narrative also protects us from deception. In Matthew 24, Jesus warned four times against being deceived. Without the anchor of Scripture, even the elect could be led astray. As secular explanations increase for global shaking—wars, plagues, financial collapse—the Church must have a different lens. We must be equipped to say, “This is that which was spoken by the Lord.”
At King’s House DFW, we believe God is raising up a people who know His Word and His heart. He is inviting us to live with urgency, not panic; with clarity, not confusion; and with hope, not despair. The days ahead will test every foundation—but those built on the Rock of Christ and the truth of His return will not be moved.
